Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the EuroLeague basketball match.
Real Madrid
The team tops the table of the EuroLeague (19-3). They’re still invincible in Madrid, with 10 wins out of their 10 games. Tavares is supposed to be back today. In December, Real beat Olympiacos (77:71). The best scorers of the Spanish club performed well, with 45.5% of the three-points shots. I don’t believe that it’s going to be an easy walk for Real, though. They have won only one of their last EuroLeague games with a 15-points lead.
Olympiacos
The Greek team follows this season well. They’re 6th with 12 wins and 10 defeats. But they depend on their home ground a lot. They have lost 60% of their away games (6 out of 10). Historically, Olympiacos have played poorly in Madrid, with 16 defeats out of their 19 games. However, they won the last game (89:87). Olympiacos have enough motivation to try to get something today.
Real Madrid – Olympiacos prediction
Real Madrid was smashed by Monaco on January 19 (74:98). Musa was the most valuable player in Real Madrid, scoring 12, with an efficiency rating (-16). Real lacked Tavares. Gabriel Deck was back, though. But it wasn’t the best return, with 4 points and 3 turnovers.
Bookmakers overestimate the Spanish team.
