Review of the bookmaker Casumo from Legalbet

Casumo were founded in 2012, receiving their UK licence in 2015. Originally an online casino, Casumo added a sportsbook to their site for UK customers in 2019. They’ve received numerous awards for their betting facility, including 9 EGR awards as well as an IGR award in 2019.

English football fans are likely to recognise Casumo thanks to their sponsorship deal with League One side Reading. Casumo have also had sponsorship and partnership deals with Wembley Area, Planet Odd and SYNOT Games.

Odds — normal

The margin for Casumo has been calculated by taking the odds available on a range of markets and leagues from around the world. The average of these odds when combined leads us to lableing the odds at each site:

From 1% to 5%: Good value

Over 5% to 7%: Average value

Over 7% to 10%: Poor value

Football

We got our results by taking into account the odds for final result outcomes measured in line with the over / under for different football leagues. Getting the average results using this method, we were able to obtain the margins for each league and the overall betting margin for the bookmaker. The latest results for Casumo are:

UK Leagues (Premier League & Championship)

4.61%

European Leagues (La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga)

4.96%

Rest of the World (Turkish Süper Lig, Australian A League, United States MLS)

5.81%

Casumo's average margin is 5.12% for football and falls in the normal category. The data and specifics of how these odds were complied can be viewed at the link below:

Betting options — good

Betting Markets

There are numerous Casumo sports betting markets for customers to choose from. In total, there are 32 different sports and events you can bet on, we’ve listed all of your choices below:

American Football, Australian Rules, Baseball, Basketball, Bowling, Chess, Cricket, Curling, Cycling, Darts, Esports, Floorball, Football, Formula 1, Gaelic Sports, Golf, Handball, Horse Racing, Ice Hockey, Lacrosse, Motorsports, Olympic Games, Politics/TV/Novelty, Rowing, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Snooker, Tennis, Trotting, Volleyball, WWE/Pro Wrestling, Winter Sports

In-play — good

There is a decent live betting service available at Casumo. Most top sports are covered, including football, tennis and basketball. There are a wide range of live markets within each sport customers can choose from, too. With most sports, Casumo provide an Events list so you can view an accurate timeline of match events.

Live streaming

Unfortunately, we couldn’t find any evidence of live streams on sports being available. Despite using their live chat function, we didn’t get a clear answer with both the virtual assistant and customer support member seemingly not understanding our simple enough query. Having looked through the Casumo site, we couldn’t find any live streaming options.

Casumo Mobile App

The Casumo mobile app is available on both iOS and Android devices. You can access all betting facilities directly from the app, including the Casumo Sportsbook, Casino and Live Casino functions. Customers can download the app from Google Play or the App Store. Alternatively, visit the Casumo desktop site using your mobile browser and download the app from there.

How To Register At Casumo

Registering a bookmaker account with Casumo is a straightforward process. To start, head over to the Casumo site, you can do so via any of the links in this guide if you wish. Hit the Sign Up button found in the top right of the screen.

The form is a little different than other bookmaker sign up forms. While most bookmakers have registration forms that are three to five pages, there’s quite a few screens to get through at Casumo, with each screen asking one question, rather than one screen asking many. Despite this, it should only take a couple of minutes to complete the form and start your Casumo journey.

  1. The first page asks for your email address. Make sure you enter a valid address you have access to as you might be required to verify it later.
  2. Next, create a password to use in conjunction with your Casumo account

  3. Next, enter your mobile phone number. Again, ensure this is a valid number as you may need to use it to recover or verify your account.

  4. On the next page, enter a username to use in conjunction with your Casumo betting account, like we have done in the screenshot below.

  5. The final few screens ask for your personal details, starting with your full name

  6. Next, you’re required to enter your gender

  7. Next up is your address details. Enter your postcode and select your address from the drop down list. You can confirm this on the following page too.

  8. Next, enter your nationality. The United Kingdom is the default option here.

  9. On the next page, enter your date of birth. Ensure you enter the correct date, as you’re likely to be asked to verify your identity either during the registration process or at any time when you bet at Casumo.

  10. Nearly there! On the penultimate screen, enter your place of birth. This information is used to validate your account at a later date, if required.

  11. Finally, you’re required to agree to the terms and conditions of creating an account with Casumo, as well as read and understand the privacy policy. You also have the option to choose your marketing preferences. Once you’ve ticked the relevant boxes, hit Confirm.

Note that there could be welcome bonuses available when you sign up at Casumo. In the screenshots above, you’ll see the Casumo casino new customer offer available at the time of writing. If you’re looking to claim a welcome offer, check out the terms and conditions before you sign up.

How To Deposit At Casumo

Next in our Casumo review we’ll look at your deposit options. Making a Casumo deposit is a reasonably simple process. Once you login to your betting account, you can make a deposit. There are a number of deposit methods you can choose from, which we’ll come to shortly.

  1. Click on the avatar on the left hand side of your screen. This is the second icon, underneath your username. This will then open up the payments screen.
  2. Next, click on the drop down menu in the middle of the screen to choose a payment method. You have many Casumo deposit options to choose from, including Visa, Mastercard, Bank Transfer and online wallet.
  3. Enter the required information of your deposit method and choose and press Deposit. Your funds will be available for you to use immediately after processing.

How To Bet At Casumo

Placing a bet at Casumo is a straightforward task. There are a variety of sports and markets you can bet on Casumo, and no matter your wager placing your bet is a simple process. While Casumo offer a casino and live casino as well, we’re concentrating on their sports section for this part of our guide. Let’s go through how to place a bet now.

Head over to the Casumo site and login to your account. Select Sports from the menu across the top of your screen.

Scroll down the page to find the sport you wish to bet on. Choose a sport from across the middle of the screen, or alternatively hit the All Sports button. You can also choose by market or by competition.

Once you’ve chosen the match or event you want to bet on, click on the price you want to take. Once you’ve clicked on the odds, your bet will automatically be added to your bet slip on the bottom right of your screen.

Next, enter your stake in the box provided on your betting slip. Once entered, hit the Place Bet icon and your wager will be placed immediately.

How To Withdraw At Casumo

If you’re lucky enough to have won a bet and have funds in your betting account, you’ll be able to make a withdrawal at Casumo. As a rule, you’ll only be able to make a withdrawal using a method you’ve used to make your last deposit. For example, if your last deposit was made using a Debit card, you’ll only be able to withdraw back to the same card. If there is an issue, such as your card has expired, you will be able to withdraw via bank transfer.

There is a minimum Casumo withdrawal amount of £10. Any withdrawals made that are less than this amount will incur a £3 fee. Withdrawal times can vary, depending on which method you’re using.

All deposit methods are available to withdraw to, with the exception of paysafecard vouchers.

Let’s now take you through the steps to make a withdrawal.

  1. Head over to the Casumo site and login. Once logged in, click on the Payments icon on the left hand side of the screen (just as you would to make a deposit).
  2. In the top right corner, select Withdrawals
  3. From the drop down menu, you’ll see your available Casumo withdrawal method. Select which method you’d like to use and complete the form provided. Enter the amount you wish to transfer out of your betting account and hit Withdraw.

Licensing & Safety

Casumo are licenced by the UK Gambling Commission with the licence number 61549. They have been the subject of regulatory action by the Gambling Commission on a number of occasions. At the time of writing, their most recent punishment came in 2022, when they allowed one customer to lose £1.1 million across three years, another customer £65000 in a one month period and a third customer to lose £76000 across seven months with none being subject to responsible gambling interactions. For this, alongside numerous anti-money laundering failures, Casumo were fined £6 million.

A year earlier, they received a multi million pound fine for failing to comply with various financial and social terms and conditions. This followed another huge punishment by the UK Gambling Commission in 2018 for breaking anti-money laundering legislation.

Service & Customer Support

  • Live Chat - 24/7
  • Twitter - twitter.com/@casumocasino

Casumo do offer a live chat function. Login to your betting account and hit the Live Chat icon. At first, you’ll be connected to a virtual assistant, which does work well, answering our questions quickly and efficiently. You can get transferred to an actual person if you prefer, though you do still have to answer some virtual questions before you can get connected.

It took around 20 seconds to be connected to someone, which is incredibly quick compared to other live chat functions offered by other sportsbooks. We asked if it was possible to bet on the football World Cup 2026. The generic automatic reply was in Spanish strangely, but once our customer service agent returned, after around two minutes, we had our question answered (they will be offering World Cup 2026 odds, but their sport site won’t be updated with these odds at this moment).

Casumo Casino Review

Casumo started off life as a purely online casino. As you’d expect, Casumo offer a comprehensive online casino facility, incorporating some of the most popular slots and table games. There is also a great range of promotions and bonus offers for new and existing customers, as well as the opportunity to become a VIP member. If you’re interested in joining Casumo, take a look at their current welcome offer for casino customers.

Live Casino

In addition to their casino, Casumo also offer an extensive live casino service. The range of games includes live blackjack, roulette and baccarat, as well as poker and game shows. Their live games are offered by some of the industry’s biggest names, including Evolution, Playtech and Pragmatic Play.
