Their recent win over Empoli (4:1) was a rare attacking outburst, as they had previously struggled in front of goal, managing just one goal across 270 minutes against Club Brugge (0:0), Napoli (1:2), and Benfica (0:2). Thiago Motta appears set to rely more on Randal Kolo Muani in attack, while Dušan Vlahović may be used as an option off the bench.
When these sides met in the opening round of the season, Juventus dominated with a 3:0 win in Turin. Como have since gained valuable Serie A experience and are likely to put up more of a fight, but a high-scoring match still seems unlikely. Given Juventus’ recent struggles in attack and Como’s respectable defensive numbers, a low-scoring affair appears to be the safest bet.
