Alcaraz Advances to Second Round of Beijing Tournament with Ease
Spanish tennis player and world number three, Carlos Alcaraz, comfortably defeated France's Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (ranked 51st in the ATP standings) with a score of 6-4, 6-4 in the hard-court tournament's round of 32 in Beijing.
The match lasted 1 hour and 22 minutes. Alcaraz delivered four aces, committed one double fault, and converted both of his break points. The French player, however, managed six aces but was undone by six double faults and failed to capitalize on any of his three break point opportunities.
In the next round, Alcaraz will face Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor.
