Sabalenka commented on her battle with Świątek for the top spot in the rankings
World No. 2, Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, responded to a question about whether she often thinks about the possibility of surpassing the current No. 1, Poland's Iga Świątek, to take the top spot in the global rankings.
Sabalenka will participate in the tournament in Wuhan, China, scheduled from October 7 to 13. Świątek will not be competing due to personal reasons.
Previously, Sabalenka became the champion of the 2024 US Open in women's singles.
