Sinner defeated Shelton in two sets to reach the quarterfinals of the Shanghai Masters

World number one Yannick Cinner of Italy defeated American Ben Shelton in the fourth round of the Shanghai Masters 6-4, 7-6 (7-1).

The game lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes. Cinner served seven times, did not make a single double fault and realized one break point out of one earned. Shelton had seven aces, one double fault and no realized break points out of a possible seven.

Sinner will face the winner of the match between Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece and Daniil Medvedev of Russia in the quarterfinals of the prestigious tournament.
