Wimbledon will introduce an electronic system instead of line judges in 2025
Wimbledon organizers will introduce an electronic system from 2025, The Times reports.
On all 18 courts of the grass tournament there will be an electronic system that will determine the ball hitting the court, as well as the tennis players' backhand when serving. Thus, for the first time in Wimbledon history, there will be no line umpires at the tournament.
Wimbledon-2025 will be held from June 30 to July 13. The reigning Grand Slam singles champion is Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz. Czech Republic's Barbora Krejcikova won the women's trophy.
