Haaland has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for August

Manchester City's forward Erling Haaland has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for August, according to the tournament's press service.

The Norwegian striker scored seven goals in three Premier League matches in August: one against Chelsea and three each against West Ham and Ipswich.

Following these three rounds, City sits at the top of the table with nine points. In their next match, the Citizens will host Brentford on 14 September.
