Greenwood intends to discuss his future in England national team with Tuchel

Marseille forward Mason Greenwood plans to discuss his international future with England's head coach, Thomas Tuchel.

According to The Sun, the 23-year-old striker wishes to meet with the German manager and consult with the Football Association about a potential return to the national team. Greenwood acknowledges the slim chances of this happening but harbors ambitions to play in the 2026 World Cup.

Reports suggest that if he is not reinstated to the England squad, the striker is open to accepting an offer from the Jamaican Football Federation to represent their national team instead.

In 2022, Greenwood faced charges of domestic violence, attempted rape, and assault against his girlfriend. Due to the investigation, he did not play for either club or country for 18 months. However, in February 2023, all charges against him were dropped.

This past summer, Mason Greenwood transferred from Manchester United to Marseille for €26 million. In the current season, he has scored six goals and provided two assists in eight appearances for the French club.

Greenwood has made one appearance for England, coming on as a substitute in a Nations League match against Iceland (1-0) in September 2020.
