Maresca publicly criticises Chelsea captain Reece James

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has criticised the Blues' captain, Reece James.

«When you don’t have a proper leader, you need to build that. I think we don’t have a proper leader. Reece James is on the way but he is not there, so he needs to make an effort in that one. He knows that», Maresca is quoted as saying by journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano on social media.

The 24-year-old Reece James has been with Chelsea since July 1, 2019. This season, the player has featured in one Premier League match for the Blues and has yet to make a significant impact.
