Amorim declined offers from West Ham and Al-Nassr before accepting Manchester United role

Portuguese coach Rúben Amorim rejected offers from West Ham and Al-Nassr, both of which were willing to pay Sporting €10 million to terminate his contract early, reports A Bola. According to the source, Amorim chose to wait for a more favorable offer, which eventually came from Manchester United. On Friday, November 1st, the Red Devils announced the appointment of the 39-year-old Portuguese as their new head coach. He will assume his duties on November 11th.

Amorim has led Sporting since 2020, during which time the Lisbon team has won the Portuguese championship twice, secured the Portuguese League Cup twice, and claimed the national Super Cup once.
