A German champion with Bayer Leverkusen has joined Atalanta on a loan deal
Bayer Leverkusen central defender Odilon Kossounou has joined Atalanta on a loan deal, the Italian club's press office announced.
At the end of the loan period, the Bergamo side can activate the option to purchase the player. According to Transfermarkt, the 23-year-old Ivorian is valued at €35 million.
In the 2023/24 season, Odilon Kossounou won both the Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal with Bayer Leverkusen. The defender has recorded 34 matches across all competitions and scored one goal.
