"A very tough race": Verstappen reflects on U.S. Grand Prix performance

Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen shared his thoughts on his performance at the U.S. Grand Prix in Austin.

"It was a very tough race. I didn't have the pace to attack. The car struggled with cornering, and there were braking issues, which made it really hard to defend. Every time someone tried to overtake me, I simply couldn't brake late enough to defend. It was a challenging battle, and I did everything I could to keep Lando [Norris] behind. Ultimately, getting a podium finish was a commendable result. As for the incident in Turn 12, I have my own view on it, but there's no need for me to speak on it right now. I'll leave it to the stewards to handle. We've learned a lot from this race, and there's plenty to analyze," the Red Bull driver told Sky Sports.

In Turn 12, McLaren driver Lando Norris was penalized for overtaking off-track.

The U.S. Grand Prix in Austin was won by Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, with Verstappen finishing in third place.
