Ancelotti assessed the start of the season in the Spanish championship for Real Madrid

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has spoken about his team's results at the start of the season in La Liga.

«We could have picked up two points more in La Liga. After the first six matches of the season we are where we expected to be.

Years ago, pre-season training in soccer was five weeks — what the players needed to prepare well. It was pre-season for us, now we need to add to it and I think we are progressing well», Marca quotes Ancelotti as saying.

After five rounds, the cream are in third place in the Spanish league table, scoring 11 points. In the next match of the championship team Carlo Ancelotti will take Espanyol on September 21.
