Aspinall Outlines Desired Opponent for Next Fight

Interim UFC heavyweight champion, Briton Tom Aspinall, has revealed his preferred opponent for his next bout.

"If Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic retire, which seems likely, then it makes the most sense to fight the winner of the match between Volkov and Gane. While there are many potential contenders, this matchup is the most logical. As for my activity level as a champion, two fights a year seem quite reasonable," Aspinall stated on his YouTube channel.

It was announced on September 18 that the Briton will serve as a standby fighter for the heavyweight title bout between league champion Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic.

Aspinall boasts a record of 15 wins and three losses in mixed martial arts.
