Aston Martin Chief: “Our Doors Are Always Open for Verstappen”
Aston Martin chief Mike Krack has stated that Red Bull driver Max Verstappen can join the team at any moment.
“Our doors are always open for Max Verstappen. With the signing of Adrian Newey, we will become more attractive across all areas.
As for Alonso, he may now want to stay with us longer. We haven't had those discussions yet, but I believe Fernando is looking at a long future with the team. On Tuesday, he was absolutely thrilled when we announced this. He even said he would direct part of his salary to pay Adrian!
You can see the immense respect these two individuals have for each other, and I think Adrian has always wanted to work with someone like Fernando, and vice versa,” Krack said, as reported by The Independent.
On September 10, Aston Martin announced the signing of designer Adrian Newey. He currently works with Red Bull but will leave the team at the end of the current season, in the first quarter of 2025.
