Barcelona Explains Decision Not to Sign Nico Williams
Barcelona's sporting director Deco has elaborated on why the Catalan club decided against signing Athletic Bilbao midfielder Nico Williams.
"We didn’t sign Nico Williams as we have Raphinha, Ferran, Ansu, Lamine plus Fermin and Olmo to help there.Dani Olmo gives us more options rather than signing one more winger" Deco told journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano.
Olmo joined Barcelona from RB Leipzig on August 9.
The 26-year-old player's contract with the Blaugrana runs until the summer of 2030. The buyout clause in his agreement with Barcelona is set at €500 million.
