Bayer Progress to Second Round of the DFB-Pokal

Bayer Leverkusen secured an away victory over Carl Zeiss Jena in the first round of the DFB-Pokal. The match concluded with a narrow 1-0 scoreline.

The winning goal came in the 52nd minute, courtesy of Jonas Hofmann. This result sees Xabi Alonso's side advance to the second round of the German Cup.

It is worth noting that Bayer Leverkusen are the current holders of the trophy.
