"Brilliant choice": Piers Morgan backs Tuchel's appointment as England manager

Renowned British TV presenter and journalist Piers Morgan has weighed in on the appointment of German coach Thomas Tuchel as the head of the England national team.

“Anyone watching this press conference with Thomas Tuchel who still thinks we should have ‘gone English’ with our new manager is living in Cloud ‘Little Englander’ Cuckoo Land. So incredibly impressive. So perfectly qualified. He’s a brilliant choice,” Morgan wrote on X.

Tuchel, 51, will take charge of the England team in 2025, with his contract running until July 2026. The German has previously managed Mainz, Borussia Dortmund, PSG, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich.
