Chelsea progresses to Europa Conference League group stage despite loss to Servette
Chelsea suffered a defeat at the hands of Swiss side Servette in the second leg of the Europa Conference League playoff qualifying round. The match, held at the Stade de Genève in Geneva, ended with a score of 2-1.
Midfielder Christopher Nkunku opened the scoring for the visitors in the 14th minute by converting a penalty. After that, it was all Servette: Jérémy Guillemenot netted in the 32nd minute, followed by Enzo Crivelli in the 72nd minute.
In the first leg, the English club secured a 2-0 victory. Therefore, with an aggregate score across both matches, Chelsea advanced to the group stage of the Europa Conference League, while Servette has been eliminated from European competitions.
