Chimaev referred to UFC champion Dricus du Plessis as a "gay man"

Star UFC fighter Khamzat Chimaev has made headlines for his derogatory remarks aimed at the promotion's middleweight champion, Dricus du Plessis.

During a live social media discussion with Darren Till, Chimaev referred to the South African fighter as gay. “We need to take the title back to normal people. Right now, the belt is held by a gay man,” he said, laughing.

Till responded, “Khamzat, stop going crazy,” also chuckling. Chimaev continued, “This is the first time I've seen or heard of an African gay man.”

Earlier, multiple instances were captured on camera where du Plessis was seen kissing one of his coaches on the lips in the octagon following his victories in UFC.
