Cristiano Ronaldo nets 900th career goal

Al-Nassr forward and Portugal national team star Cristiano Ronaldo has scored the 900th goal of his illustrious career. The 39-year-old striker found the back of the net with an assist from Nuno Mendes in the 34th minute of the Nations League Group A1 opener against Croatia.

The match is being held at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, with the hosts leading 2-1 at half-time.

Cristiano Ronaldo made his debut for the Portugal national team in the summer of 2003. He has now tallied 131 goals and 45 assists in 213 appearances for his country.

The game against Croatia marks Ronaldo's 1236th career match. In addition to his 900 goals, the Portuguese forward has also recorded 254 assists.
