Curry: «I am interested in owning an NBA team»
Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has expressed his desire to become an owner of an NBA team in the future.
«I am interested in owning an NBA team. I've seen people like Jordan do it. There are currently individuals in the league taking the necessary steps to become legitimate contenders when it comes to NBA expansion in the next couple of years.
For me, this is definitely on the agenda. However, I still have a lot to accomplish on the court before I shift my focus to other endeavors in the NBA. That said, I would certainly love to be part of an ownership group.
I believe I could make a meaningful contribution by helping to support and grow the NBA. At the same time, I need to handle what it takes for the team to compete successfully for a championship,» Curry stated in an interview with CNBC.
Stephen Curry is a four-time NBA champion, an Olympic gold medalist, and a two-time world champion with the USA national team. The basketball star has been named the NBA's Most Valuable Player twice during the regular season and once in the Finals.
