Dana White announces McGregor's fight in early 2025

UFC President Dana White has announced that former two-division champion Conor McGregor will fight in early 2025.

"I have previously stated that Conor will not fight this year, despite announcing his fight at a press conference. Conor will fight in early 2025. As for his desire to win, you know, he is a very wealthy man. We will all find that out soon. He is definitely one of the brightest stars in sports that has brought UFC worldwide fame," said White on the New York Post Sports YouTube channel.

Conor McGregor was scheduled to face Michael Chandler in June at UFC 303, but the fight was canceled due to the Irishman's injury.

The 36-year-old Irishman last entered the Octagon in July 2021 when he suffered a technical knockout loss to Dustin Poirier. McGregor holds a record of 22 wins and 6 losses in mixed martial arts.
