Dana White: "O'Malley didn't look sharp and crisp in fight against Dvalishvili"

UFC President Dana White criticized former promotion champion Sean O'Malley for his performance against Merab Dvalishvili.

The American fighter lost to the Georgian contender by unanimous decision in the main event of UFC 306 in Las Vegas, thereby losing his title.

"Sean looked flat, he didn't look sharp and crisp until the last round. He hurt Merab with a body shot. He knew he hurt him and he kept going and trying to finish. I saw the strike statistics... there's like six strikes in a couple of rounds. You’d have to ask him why that happened. I don't know the answer. I think he's one of those kids that lives for  moments like this. This is what he's all about. But he just got in there tonight and felt flat. Sometimes, you just have off nights," White remarked at the press conference.

Sean O'Malley has now suffered the second defeat of his MMA career. The 29-year-old American also has 18 wins and one no-contest on his record.

Merab Dvalishvili recorded his 18th victory in mixed martial arts, alongside four losses.
