De Gea Nears Move to Fiorentina
Former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has agreed to a contract with Fiorentina.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano on social media, the agreement will be for one year with an option to extend for an additional season. De Gea's salary is set at €3 million per year. The final detail to be arranged between the "Violas" and the Spanish player is the date for his medical examination.
De Gea's contract with Manchester United expired in July 2023, and since then, the 33-year-old has been a free agent. During his time with the "Red Devils," the Spanish goalkeeper made 545 appearances across all competitions, keeping 190 clean sheets. Transfermarkt currently values the player at €5 million.
