Ødegaard Seen on Crutches After Ankle Injury in Match Against Austria

Arsenal Midfielder Martin Ødegaard May Have Sustained a Serious Injury in Norway Match

The midfielder twisted his ankle and was substituted in the second half of the Nations League game against Austria, which ended in a 2-1 victory for Norway.

According to Sky Sports, Ødegaard was seen using crutches when boarding the plane back to London after the national team match.

Initial assessments by Norway's medical staff described Ødegaard's injury as a "minor ligament strain." However, head coach Ståle Solbakken remarked in a post-match interview with TV2 that the injury "looked bad" in the dressing room.

Ødegaard is expected to undergo further examination upon his arrival at Arsenal today. His participation in Sunday's match against Tottenham is currently in doubt.
