Djokovic withdraws from ATP Finals 2024, Rublev to step In

Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic has withdrawn from the ATP Finals 2024.

«It’s a great honour to qualify for the Finals in Turin. I was eagerly anticipating my participation, but due to an injury, I won’t be able to compete next week. I apologise to everyone who was expecting to see me there. I wish all players an excellent tournament and see you soon,» Djokovic posted on social media.

It’s worth noting that the Serbian had previously missed the Paris Masters as well.

With Djokovic’s withdrawal, Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev, who is currently ninth in the ATP Race, will have the opportunity to compete in Turin.

To recall, Djokovic triumphed over Italian Jannik Sinner (6:3, 6:3) in last year's ATP Finals championship match.
