Dvalishvili defeats O'Malley to become UFC bantamweight champion

The UFC 306 event concluded at the "Sphere" arena in Las Vegas, with the headline bout featuring the reigning bantamweight champion, American Sean O'Malley, against Georgian fighter Merab Dvalishvili.
The fight spanned the full five rounds and ended with Merab Dvalishvili emerging victorious by unanimous decision from the judges.
Sean O'Malley had claimed the UFC bantamweight title in August 2023 by knocking out Aljamain Sterling. In March, he successfully defended his title, defeating Ecuadorian Marlon Vera by unanimous decision. This marks O'Malley's second career loss; the American's record stands at 18 wins and one no-contest.
Merab Dvalishvili now boasts 18 victories and has suffered four defeats in his MMA career.
