Ex-Formula 1 Driver Claims Verstappen Deliberately Slowed Down at Dutch Grand Prix

Former Formula 1 driver Martin Brundle has stated that Red Bull's Max Verstappen intentionally reduced his pace towards the end of the Dutch Grand Prix.

"You can speculate about the settings, strategies, and various race factors, but I dare say that Verstappen deliberately slowed down towards the end of the race. He knew he couldn't beat Lando Norris and by lagging behind, he signalled to his team that they need to expedite the car's improvements. I'm almost certain of it," Brundle said on Sky Sports.

The Dutch Grand Prix was won by McLaren's Lando Norris, with Verstappen finishing second, trailing by 22.896 seconds.
