Joao Felix is already in London to undergo medical and official procedures as the new player for Chelsea. This has been reported by insider Fabrizio Romano on social media.
In 2019, Atletico set a club transfer record by acquiring Joao Felix from Benfica for €127.2 million. The forward played 131 matches for the Madrid club, scoring 34 goals and providing 18 assists.
Felix had previously played for Chelsea in the second half of the 2022/23 season. The Portuguese player scored four goals in 20 games for the London team.
Felix's contract with Atletico runs until the summer of 2029. Transfermarkt values the player at €30 million.
