Former Arsenal Footballer Arrested for Drug Smuggling
According to Sky Sports, 60 kg of cannabis was discovered this week in two suitcases belonging to the footballer at London's Stansted Airport. The suitcases had arrived from Bangkok. Emmanuel-Thomas was subsequently detained on Wednesday, 18 September, in Inverclyde, Scotland, with the support of local police.
The 33-year-old footballer, an Arsenal academy graduate, made five appearances for the Gunners' first team. Emmanuel-Thomas has also played for Bristol City, Ipswich Town, and Aberdeen.
