Former Boston Bruins defender Shattenkirk in talks with multiple NHL teams

Former Boston Bruins defenceman Kevin Shattenkirk is currently in negotiations with several National Hockey League (NHL) clubs.

Earlier reports suggested that the 35-year-old American might continue his career in Russia's Continental Hockey League (CHL).

"George Bazos, agent for USA defender Kevin Shattenkirk, 35, says they are in discussions with a few teams, looking for a good fit. Absolutely still wants to play. Coming off a one-year, $1.05M deal in Boston last season," reported TSN insider Pierre LeBrun.

Kevin Shattenkirk joined Boston Bruins in 2023. Last season, the 35-year-old defenceman appeared in 61 regular-season matches for the Bruins, scoring 24 points (6 goals, 18 assists). Over the course of his career, the American player has accumulated over 1,000 NHL games, including playoff appearances. In 2020, Shattenkirk clinched the Stanley Cup with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
