Former Manchester United star Nani took a shirt from a fan that was given to him for an autograph

A police report has been filed against former Manchester United and Portugal international player Nani after he allegedly confiscated a shirt from a fan, believing it to be stolen.

According to the BBC, the fan had purchased a Euro 2016 jersey from an online marketplace, where the private seller had warned him that it was a replica and that Nani had never worn it. After a training session of Estrela, the fan approached the player and requested an autograph on the jersey. In response, Nani claimed that it was his own shirt, which had recently been stolen from his home.

Despite the fan's explanations, Nani placed the jersey on the passenger seat, rolled up the window, and drove away. This incident was captured on video by other fans.

The affected fan has reported the matter to the police, hoping to either recover the shirt or at least get a refund. He has also reached out to the seller to provide testimony regarding the case.

In July, it was also revealed that Nani acquired a 95 percent stake in the Portuguese club Sintrense.
