Former UFC Champion Ngannou Withdraws from Fight Against Russian Nemkov

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion, French fighter Francis Ngannou, has declined to face Russian fighter and ex-Bellator champion Vadim Nemkov. This was confirmed by representatives from Nemkov's team.

“Ngannou was unaware that Vadim would be the alternate. Once he learned of this, he withdrew, explaining that he had not prepared to fight Nemkov,” said a source in an interview with TASS.

Nemkov was scheduled as the alternate fighter for the title bout taking place on October 19 in Saudi Arabia as part of the Professional Fighters League (PFL). In this match, Ngannou is set to go up against Brazilian Renan Ferreira.
