Gasperini suspends Koopmeiners from the team due to transfer to Juventus

Atalanta's head coach, Gian Piero Gasperini, has suspended 26-year-old Dutch attacking midfielder Teun Koopmeiners from the squad due to his imminent transfer to Juventus.

«Koopmeiners has decided to join Juventus and will no longer play or train with us», — Gasperini was quoted as saying by journalist Gianluca Di Marzio on his website.

Transfermarkt has valued the midfielder at €50 million.

In the 2023/24 season, Koopmeiners played 51 matches across all competitions, scoring 15 goals and providing seven assists.
