Gonzalo Ramos to miss several months due to injury

Paris Saint-Germain forward Gonzalo Ramos will be sidelined for several months due to injury.

The Parisians recently secured a resounding 4-1 victory over Le Havre in their first match of the Ligue 1 season. The Portuguese striker sustained the injury during the first half and was replaced by Randal Kolo-Muani.

According to a statement from PSG, medical examinations revealed that Ramos has suffered a severe ligament sprain in his left ankle, requiring surgery. The recovery process for the 23-year-old forward is expected to take approximately three months.

Journalist Fabrice Hawkins has reported that, in light of Ramos's injury, PSG may be looking to acquire a new striker.

Gonzalo Ramos joined PSG from Benfica in the summer of 2023. Last season, he scored 14 goals and provided two assists in 40 matches for the Parisians. The Portuguese forward's contract with the French club runs until the summer of 2028.
