Guardiola: "Haaland feels better than at the start of last season"

Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola believes that striker Erling Haaland has had a good rest during the off-season.

«There is a sense that he feels better than at the start of last season. Back then, after the trip to Asia, he looked tired. This year, unfortunately for Norway, they did not play in the Euros, so he had more time to recuperate. He feels great.

The goal was magnificent. He contributed significantly in many aspects of the game. He had two or three chances. Yet, I always have the impression that he has room for improvement», Guardiola said to ESPN.

In the opening match of the Premier League against Chelsea (2-0), Haaland opened the scoring in the 18th minute. The Norwegian striker marked his 100th match for the club and netted his 91st goal for the Cityzens.
