Hamilton Suggests Reasons Behind Mercedes' Decline in Performance
British Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has speculated on what might be behind the German Formula 1 team's recent downturn in performance.
"There are quite a few aspects to consider here. We are still trying to figure it all out ourselves. There could be several reasons. It might be due to the characteristics of the track. Perhaps it's about the car updates. My intuition tells me it's more about the updates. Either way, this weekend we will try reverting to one of the previous configurations. We'll see how that impacts the situation. The team is hard at work analysing the data, as the results could give us a direction for further car development. This data will also be useful in our work on next year's car," Hamilton told RacingNews365.
This weekend, the Azerbaijan Grand Prix will take place in Baku. The main race of the event will be held on September 15.
