"It took a toll on my mental health": Pogba on doping suspension

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has spoken out about his suspension for violating anti-doping regulations.

“For me and my family, it was a real shock. It took a toll on my mental health. It was a difficult time that required a lot of patience. The key was to keep faith and stay positive, convincing myself that things would change for the better. I know I’m innocent, and this punishment feels excessively harsh. Four years is a long time, and it’s unfair,” Pogba told RMC Sport.

It was previously reported that Pogba's doping ban has been reduced from four years to 18 months. The 31-year-old could resume training with Juventus in January and be eligible to play in official matches by March.
