Kane and Griezmann Among the First Nominees for Player of the Week in the Revamped Champions League
UEFA's press service has announced the first four contenders for the Player of the Week award in the 2024/25 Champions League season. The list includes:
- Harry Kane (Bayern Munich). The striker scored a quadruple in the match against Dinamo Zagreb (9-2);
- Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid). The midfielder netted a goal and provided an assist in their game against Leipzig (2-1);
- Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen). The midfielder scored twice in the match against Feyenoord (4-0);
- Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (Borussia Dortmund). The winger scored two goals against Brugge (3-0).
The second round of the group stage of the Champions League will commence on October 1.
