Liverpool Defender Plans to Become Owner of Ligue 1 Club

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is looking to become the owner of French Ligue 1 club Nantes.

According to L’Equipe, the player’s interest in acquiring the French team stems from his father's keen interest in the local sports market. For instance, the Liverpool defender already holds shares in the Formula 1 racing team Alpine.

Initially, Alexander-Arnold had considered purchasing Saint-Étienne or Le Havre, but ultimately decided on Nantes. The club has been owned by businessman Waldemar Kita since 2007, who now aims to sell the team due to financial difficulties. The current Nantes owner is willing to transfer ownership to Alexander-Arnold for €100 million.
