Liverpool eyeing Georgian national team goalkeeper Mamardashvili
Liverpool are reportedly keen on securing the services of Valencia and Georgian national team goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, according to Relevo.
While a final decision has yet to be made, negotiations are ongoing. Liverpool are prepared to pay over 30 million euros for Mamardashvili and immediately send him out on loan.
The 24-year-old Georgian joined Valencia from Dinamo Tbilisi for a transfer fee of 850,000 euros. His contract with the club runs until the summer of 2027. Last season, the goalkeeper featured in 32 matches, keeping 12 clean sheets and conceding 34 goals in the remaining games.
