Liverpool goalkeeper expresses dissatisfaction with Mamardashvili transfer

Liverpool goalkeeper Quinn Kelleher has spoken out about the English club's decision to sign Georgian national team goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.

«I made it clear that I wanted to be number one. The club made the decision to buy another goalkeeper and move in a different direction. My wishes are clear. I'm good enough and I want to play every week», — Evening Standard quotes Kelleher as saying.

On August 27, Liverpool announced the signing of the 23-year-old goalkeeper. According to Transfermarkt, the Reds paid 32.5 million euros for Mamardashvili.

The goalkeeper will join the English club before the start of the 2025/26 season, and will continue to play for Valencia until then.
