Álvarez and Simons in starting line-ups for Atlético Madrid and RB Leipzig in Champions League clash
Atlético Madrid and RB Leipzig have announced their starting line-ups for their opening match in the Champions League league stage.
Atlético: Oblak – Riquelme, Reinildo, Giménez, Le Normand, Llorente – Koke, De Paul, Griezmann – Correa, Álvarez.
RB Leipzig: Gulácsi – Raum, Lukeba, Orbán – Nusa, Vermeeren, Haidara, Henrichs – Simons, Openda, Šeško.
The teams will face off at the Civitas Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid. The match is set to kick off at 20:00 BST.
In the Champions League league stage, each team will play eight matches against different opponents. The top eight teams will advance directly to the Round of 16. Teams finishing between 9th and 24th will enter play-offs for the right to compete in the knockout rounds. The remaining teams will be eliminated from European competitions.
