Mamarashvili is undergoing a medical examination prior to his transfer to Liverpool
Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili of Valencia will undergo a medical examination today ahead of his transfer to Liverpool, according to reports from The Athletic.
It has previously been confirmed that the Merseyside club is on the verge of finalising an agreement with the Spanish side regarding the goalkeeper's move. Liverpool is expected to pay €35 million for Mamardashvili. The goalkeeper will spend the current season on loan at Valencia before joining Liverpool.
Mamardashvili’s contract with Valencia runs until the summer of 2027. In the previous season, the goalkeeper played 37 matches, keeping 13 clean sheets, while conceding 34 goals in the other matches. According to information on the Transfermarkt website, his market value is estimated at €45 million.
