Manchester City Coach Guardiola Confirms Julian Alvarez's Move to Atletico Madrid

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that forward Julian Alvarez will be transferring to Atletico Madrid. 

«I would like to express my gratitude to Julian; he has made a tremendous contribution to all that we have achieved. His teammates held him in high regard, but if he wishes to leave, a new challenge awaits him. Atletico is a top club, and we wish him all the best. I have learned a lot from him, and I hope he finds what he is looking for», — Guardiola was quoted as saying by journalist Sam Lee on social media.

Earlier, reporter Fabrizio Romano announced that Alvarez had agreed to the move to Atletico. The transfer fee is set at €95 million, and the forward's contract with the club will span five years.

In the previous season, Alvarez participated in 54 matches across all competitions, contributing 19 goals and 13 assists. According to the online portal Transfermarkt, the player's market value stands at €90 million.
