Maresca States Champions League Qualification Not a Target for Chelsea This Season

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has said that the club's management has not set a goal for the team to qualify for the UEFA Champions League by the end of the 2024/25 season.

"I can say that no one from the club has asked me to get the team into the Champions League this season. Nobody has mentioned that we need to finish in the top four. I've been told that we need to fight and move forward step by step. We just need to get the feeling that we're heading in the right direction. It's already a worthy goal when the owner, sporting directors, coach, and players all have the same idea— moving in one direction," Maresca told the Daily Mail.

In the first round of the current Premier League season, Chelsea will face Manchester City. The match will take place on August 18 at Stamford Bridge in London.
