Matthäus: "I Don't Think Kane Will Score 36 Goals in the New Season"

Former Bayern Munich midfielder Lothar Matthäus believes that the club's forward, Harry Kane, will not be able to replicate last season's goal tally in the new German championship campaign.

"I don't think he will score 36 goals again. But, perhaps, he won't need to. In my opinion, the favourites for the championship are Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern. I think both teams are on the same level, but I have a feeling Bayern will come out on top," Matthäus told Goal.

Last season’s Bundesliga champion was Bayer Leverkusen, who finished the tournament unbeaten. Bayern Munich secured third place.
