McGregor responds to Dana White's statement that he will not fight this year

Former two-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor has addressed comments made by promotion president Dana White, who stated that the Irishman will not compete in 2024.

«Ah Dana, December is the date! Bring the calendar year home with a winning event! Come on now, what’s this? I am off to altitude next month to prepare. December! Tell Dana and UFC we want December! We deserve December!» — McGregor posted on his X account.

McGregor was scheduled to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June, but the bout was cancelled due to an injury sustained by the Irishman. The 36-year-old last fought in the octagon in July 2021, when he lost to Dustin Poirier by technical knockout. Overall, McGregor boasts a record of 22 wins and six losses in MMA.
